Ma-Mamiya!

I came into a chunk of change not too long ago, and well… I have a problem.  I might have bought another camera; a Mamiya m645 to be exact.  This is my first foray into shooting medium format.  Luckily, I have Christian Maike whispering in my ear and helping me out a bit.  This new camera doesn’t have a light meter, so I’m doing my best to deal with THAT whole scenario.  Hell, I’m going to quit talking; czech out some photos.

  1. I love these photos David, the black and white photos are particularly impressive.

  2. Welcome to the wonderful world of medium format! Looks like you are getting some great results with your new find. If using film in this digital age is something new for you, the workflow to get the most out of your images may take a bit of getting used to…just be sure to use the unsharp mask (it’s the nature of the beast). However, once you get it down, I think you’ll be extremely please with the image quality that you’ll get with your Mamiya.

    Congrats on your new purchase!
